The 8th EUSAIR Forum: Exploring Inequalities in the Mediterranean

Our council was present on 23rd-25th of May in the 8th annual EUSAIR Forum in Sarajevo (Bosnia & Herzegovenia) to discuss with our peers about the different kinds of inequalities across the EUSAIR and the Mediterranean area.

Inequality exist in various aspects of life, including access to education, Healthcare, job opportunities, wealth distribution, and representation in decision-making processes. These disparities can lead to significant disadvantages for certain groups, perpetuating a cycle of inequality and hindering social progress.

Our members took the opportunity to lead a workshop about the types of inequality, its intersectionality with other social factors as race, gender and disability, and its impacts and consequences for individuals and communities.

Thus, we would like to thank the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions (CPMR) Intermediterranean and the Balkan and Black Sea Commissions for inviting us to take part in the event and also thank our partners: Les Têtes de l'ArtRégion Sud - Provence-Alpes-Côte d'AzurRegione LazioFACM and Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions (CPMR) for always supporting youth involvement in the Mediterranean.
