Mediterranean Youth Voices Amplified at COP29 in Baku

From 11 to 23 November 2024, the city of Baku, Azerbaijan, hosted the 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29), a pivotal global event uniting leaders, experts, and activists in the fight against climate change.

At the heart of the action was the Mediterranean Pavilion, where Camilla Melis and Francesc Villaderams represented the Mediterranean Youth Council with energy and commitment. Throughout the conference, they engaged with key stakeholders from both the northern and southern shores of the Mediterranean, including representatives from Ciheam Bari, the Union for the Mediterranean, Sardinia, and Catalonia.

Their active participation helped elevate Mediterranean youth perspectives in climate dialogues and fostered strategic partnerships aimed at driving impactful environmental action across the region.
