The Mediterranean Youth Council actively participated in the Med'Cat event (12th-13th June) in Palau de Pedralbes, Catalunya, which served as a platform for discussing the pressing need to enhance relations among Euro-Mediterranean countries, with a specific focus on addressing climate change, and drought in the region. An exciting highlight of the event was the opportunity for our members to engage with Ms. Meritxelk Serret i Aleu, the Minister for Foreign Action and European Union to talk about our concerns as youth regarding all the issues facing the Mediterranean region. Moreover, MYC members collaborated closely with their counterparts from Catalunya, working together to finalize a comprehensive statement on Gender and Environmental issues as part of their ongoing project. Thus, we take the opportunity to thank Generalitat de Catalunya European Institute of the Mediterranean and Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions (CPMR) for hosting us without forgetting our partners: Les Têtes de l'Art Regione Lazio Région Sud - Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur for encouraging and believing on Youth Engagement in the Mediterranean region. #engagement #environmental #opportunity #gender #youthempowerment
